TERM 6 Wider Wrold

Our ever-changing world can lead to a lot of questions. Questions about tolerance, money, change, work and serving the community. Well, this section gives answers to these questions and provides important insights about the world we live in.

Week 1 Tolerance
You will learn about diversity and the beautiful ways that we are all different from race to religion to language. You will also learn about why people are intolerant and the awful things that happen when we are intolerant.

Week 2 Community Responsibility
A community is a group of people living or working together in the same area. A school is an example of a community and this lesson is about finding ways to support your community. We also explore the sad things that happen when you don’t look after your community.

Week 3 Work
Have you ever thought about what you would like to do when you are older? Do not worry, you have plenty of time to make that decision but this lesson should get you thinking about what you would like to do and why you would like to do it.

Week 4 Money
In this lesson you will learn about money and how we use it. You will also learn about the opportunities and risks that are connected to money.

Week 5 Winning and Losing
“A successful person never loses. They either win or learn!” Winning and losing well is hard. This week you will learn how to manage the emotions that get triggered when you lose. You will also be able to identify what a good winner looks like.

Week 6 Change
They say that change can be one of the hardest things to deal with in life. Changing teachers, changing school, moving house – all of these things can cause an emotion explosion. That is why the last lesson of the year is giving you the skills
to deal with change.
