Week 1 Sleep
Do you know how much sleep you should get every night? Do you know what happens if you don’t get enough sleep? This week’s lesson answers these questions and also gives us tips on what we can do to help us sleep. Week 2 Healthy Eating “You are what you eat” is a famous phrase that has inspired this lesson. We explore the different food groups and discuss why fruits and vegetables are important. The dangers of obesity and importance of being hydratedare also explained. Week 3 Exercise There are many reasons why exercise is vital for us. In today’s lesson we discuss the different types of exercise and underline the benefits for the body. We also talk about how we can do enough exercise from day to day. Week 4 Harmful Habits The first three weeks of this term focus on healthy things for our minds and bodies but for this week’s lesson we focus on those things that are harmful. We focus on screen time, smoking and not protecting yourself from the sun. Week 5 Internet Safety There are many good things about the internet. You can contact people, play games and learn new things. However, there are also some things that can cause problems. This lesson highlights the traps of the internet and helps you deal with them. Week 6 Keeping Safe It is not nice to think of emergencies but it is important to know what to do when they arrive. This lesson gives you the tools to stay calm when something serious happens. It then informs you on the steps you need to take to keep everyone safe. |
