TERM 3 Well-Being

These lessons are packed with ideas to help you build happy and healthy lives. We first learn about the importance of talking and the different ways to express ourselves. We then tackle thought gremlins, gratitude and self-care. All crucial steps to boost our well-being.
Week 1 Expressing Yourself
The first session focuses on the importance of being open about how we feel. It explores the different ways that
we can express ourselves and examines why it is so important for our mental health.

Week 2 Thought Gremlins
We all have negative thoughts… well, we like to call them thought gremlins and they can start taking over if we
are not careful. So, this lesson identifies the different gremlins and explores ways of managing them.

Week 3 Values
Identifying your values and trying to live by them boosts
your well-being. We start this week by first understanding
what values are and then coming up with examples of
values in action. Bravery, patience and independence are
all included.

Week 4 Gratitude
Have you ever noticed how we spend most of our lives
thinking about the things we don’t have rather than the
things we do have? Week four will help you identify the
good things in your life and then understand the key role
of gratitude in our mental health.

Week 5 Challenges
This lesson will help you realise that challenges
are a positive thing for our well-being. It is true –
challenges can make us feel uncomfortable, but they
also make life interesting and inspire us to get better.

Week 6 Self-Care
The final week of our well-being programme encourages
you to think about those things that you do every day.
Are your days full of habits that will boost your
well-being? Well, you will have this question answered in
this week’s lesson.
