TERM 2 RelationshipsThey say that relationships are a cornerstone of a positive life. In this section, we learn about different families and the skills needed to collaborate. We also touch on the more challenging aspects of relationships including bullying and stereotyping.
Week 1 Families and People who care
This term starts by explaining why caring family relationships are important. This lesson also explores all of the different types of families and why they should all be respected. It also focuses on what we should do if we find ourselves in a harmful relationship. Week 2 Online Relationships Do you know what information you should keep private online? This lesson lists the information that you should keep to yourself and examines the dangers of online relationships. It also explains what you need to do if you an adult makes you feel uncomfortable online. Week 3 Bullying This is a subject that we all know about but here we go deeper into the issue of bullying. First, we list examples of bullying and then highlight the impact of bullying on the victims. This lesson also explores why people bully others and provides a guide on how to manage a bully. Week 4 Collaboration It is amazing how much can be done if we work together, which is why this week is so important. You will first learn about the different collaboration skills and will then be given the chance to apply them. . Activities include creating a board game, a bridge and a profile of a country. Week 5 Stereotyping All girls like pink. All boys play football. These are both examples of stereotypes. This week’s lesson will include inspirational tales of people who have triumphed against stereotyping and will also give you tips on how to manage a stereotype. Week 6 Violence Pinching, kicking, pushing and throwing are all violent actions that harm relationships. This lesson explains what you should do if you become the victim of violence. It also mentions what the law states about those who commit violent acts. |
